Itinerary

Day 1 — Marrakech to Imlil — Acclimatisation Hike

Early morning transfer from Marrakech to Imlil village (1,740m) — approximately 1.5 hours. After welcome tea and equipment check, we begin a gentle acclimatisation hike through the Aït Mizane Valley, visiting traditional Berber villages along the way. Overnight in a traditional guesthouse in Imlil.

• Hiking time: 3 to 4 hours

Day 2 — Imlil to Toubkal Refuge (3,207m)

After breakfast, we begin our ascent through the spectacular Aït Mizane Valley, passing through Aroumd village and the Sidi Chamharouch shrine at 2,350m. Mules carry your main luggage so you hike comfortably with just a daypack. We arrive at the Toubkal Refuge (3,207m) in early afternoon — time to rest, enjoy a warm meal, and prepare for the summit.

• Elevation gain: 1,467m
• Hiking time: 5 to 6 hours

Day 3 — Summit Mount Toubkal (4,167m)

We wake before sunrise for the summit push. As dawn breaks over the Atlas Mountains, you reach the summit of Mount Toubkal at 4,167 metres — the highest point in North Africa. On a clear day, views stretch from the Sahara Desert to the Atlantic coast.

After celebrating your achievement, we descend back to the refuge for lunch, then continue down to Aroumd village for the night.

• Summit hiking distance: approximately 5 km one way
• Elevation gain to summit: 960m from the refuge
• Hiking time: 3 to 4 hours up, 2 to 3 hours down

Day 4 — Descent to Imlil and Return to Marrakech

A gentle morning trek back to Imlil through the beautiful valley. Transfer to Marrakech arriving in the early afternoon — time to explore the medina or relax before your flight home.
